Nvidia RTX press conference

Gamescom hasn't even started and we already have a big hitting item right off the bat , with this being said Nvidia has announced it's new line of graphics cards. They are doing away with the G-series and now are going with the RTX as their platform, RTX which stands for, "Ray Tracing". As Nvidia's CEO had said before and I quote "The new system allows for massively accelerated real time ray tracing, which allows for realistic lights, camera and shadows , impressive reflections and highlights on shiny surfaces. One thing that has been noted is that this is a full redesign the this is from the ground up. Right now the RTX 1070 will give you 8gbs of DDR6 more then was said in other posts(7gb) that will also include a 2034 CUDA cores. Technically speaking this should be a huge step from the 1070, but not as much from the 1080. Now with the RTX 2070 will be running at 6Giga Rays and 60 trillion RTX-OPS. With the RTX 2070 it will arrive first as a Founders Edition(WHICH WILL COST MORE) However it does offer a better option for overclocking if that is needed. The overclocking would be to 1710 MHz over the 1620 MHz, this will also draw a total of 175 watts compared to the 150 of the previous generation GPUs. Nvidia already showed off what a few games would look like on these cards(Battlefield V & Shadows Of The Tomb Raider). One last thing that is real important to note is that not all games are getting designed for these graphic cards, at the moment there isn't a real list out yet at who will get the special treatment. RTX 1080 will run for $699 , the RTX 1070 will run for $499, these two gpu's have no shipping date as of now. The $799 Founders Edition Geforce RTX 2080 will arrive around September 20th of this year. Last but not least the RTX 2070 is priced at $599 with no word on shipping as of this moment. One final note is that Nvidia is limiting sales of the RTX 2080 founders edition to 2 per customer. At the current moment all we can do is speculate, without full details of everything we can't do anything else. I will keep you posted if anything else gets announced.
